By booking with Mr & Mrs Fixit, you are accepting the terms outlined below. Mr & Mrs Fixit offers a digital platform for scheduling diverse cleaning and handyman services. Should you have questions about these terms, please contact us directly.
1. Labor Hour Definition
A labor hour constitutes one hour of work by a professional cleaner. For instance, an hour of work by two cleaners equates to two labor hours. Please consult with us for details about labor hours or billing issues prior to your appointment. A minimum booking of three labor hours is necessary for hourly services.
2. Excluded Services
Due to safety concerns and the complex nature of some tasks, Mr & Mrs Fixit does not provide the following:
- Chandelier cleaning
- Fireplace cleaning
- Heavy furniture or appliance moving
- Organization of dishes or pans
- Handling of biohazards like severe feces, or blood
- Odor elimination
- Removal of pet hair from deep carpet fibers
- Mineral deposit removal (e.g., from toilet bowls)
- Cleaning of areas that require more than a two-step ladder to access
3. Pricing Adjustments
Our rates are primarily based on the count of bedrooms and bathrooms and average cleaning times. We reserve the right to adjust prices if actual cleaning times exceed our initial estimates. In such instances, customers will be consulted for potential price or service adjustments.
4. Bond Back Guarantee
1. You must verify with your real estate agent the specific cleaning tasks required under your lease. If our bond cleaning checklist does not cover these tasks, you must:
- Add the service through our booking form’s extras section if listed.
- Contact us at booking to check if it can be included at an additional cost.
2. Should any part of our service not meet expectations within 72 hours post-cleaning, as per your booking and our checklist, we’ll return to re-clean at no additional cost. Relevant photographs must accompany such claims.
3. Our guarantee does not cover:
- Services not listed in your booking or on our checklist.
- Permanent damage like smoke or carpet stains, wall marks, mold, rust, and fixed odors.
- Areas deemed uncleanable by our professionals.
5. Service Logistics
- Bio-Hazards: Our team cleans around biological hazards, which are not included in our standard checklist, and will alert you to any they encounter.
- Extreme Conditions: For situations requiring extensive services beyond our standard scope, we may adjust the rates or refuse service.
- Parking: Accessible parking near your entrance is required, with costs of paid parking included in the final invoice if necessary.
- Cancellations: Changes to your booking should be made 24 hours prior to avoid fees.
- Access: Our cleaners need access to utilities like water and electricity; interruptions may incur additional charges.
- Lock Outs: If you’re unable to facilitate entry, a fee may be charged.
- Payment: Payments are processed post-service and can be made using major credit cards.
- Cleaner Safety: Our teams do not perform tasks involving heavy lifting or accessing high places.
- Independent Contractors: Cleaners are independent contractors affiliated with us for booking and payment facilitations.
- Public Holidays and Unpredictable Events: Services may be adjusted or cancelled due to factors like severe weather.
- Service Refusal: We retain the right to refuse or cancel services based on safety concerns or unsuitable conditions.
